Butch Ferdinandsen is an independent financial advisor and the founder and principal of the independent financial firm, Ferdinandsen Financial Group. He helps individuals, families and business owners understand their current circumstances, assess their values and their vision and define their financial goals. He understands that each client’s situation is unique and deserves a financial plan that reflects that uniqueness.
Butch loves helping people successfully navigate their financial issues and believes one of his best skills is the ability to truly listen to what clients are saying. He also makes sure that clients completely understand their options so they can make informed decisions. Butch believes that a financial plan should be holistic so that each part of the plan – insurance, investment, savings and tax strategies, and retirement distribution – should be coordinated and work together. This allows him to invest in building long term relationships with clients; he is there as a partner from day one.
As a fee-based, independent advisor, Butch is not obligated to any proprietary products or commission structure. He has the ability to draw from a wide array of resources, tools and products and choose those that work best for his clients’ needs. As a financial fiduciary, he must choose the well being of his clients over those of his firm. The firm’s affiliation with Legacy Premier Advisors, and Woodbury Financial means he can draw on the knowledge and expertise of some of the top independent advisors in the country for the benefit of clients.
Butch has been a financial advisor for over 19 years and has earned the designations of Certified Financial Planner™, Chartered Financial Consultant™, Chartered Life Underwriter™, Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist, and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. He is fully licensed for investment and insurance products. He is also a member of National Association of Financial Advisors and the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Louisiana. He graduated from McNeese State University.
When not working with clients, Butch is committed to his community. He sits on the Board of the McNeese Foundation and is also a member of the Quarterback Club. He is on the Board of the Wishing Well Foundation that grants terminally ill children their fondest wish and is also very active in his church, Our Lady Queen of Heaven.
